The Treaty of Versailles

Took place after world war 1 It was signed on 28 June 1919,
it ended the
war between Germany
in article 231-248 ( War Guilt clauses ) states that Germany takes full sole responsibility for starting the war

The German army was limited to a maximum of 100,000 men, and a ban placed upon the use of heavy artillery, gas, tanks and aircraft. The German navy was similarly restricted to shipping under 10,000 tons, with a ban on submarines.

Mustafa Kemal

Mustafa Kemal (aka: Ataturk) modernized Turkey by changing some customs to their culture.
his goal was to create equal rights and happiness for his nation
his modernization program introduced many reforms such as European clothing like hats that replaced the fez; women stopped wearing their veil; all citizens took new names called surnames; and the Islamic calendar gave way to the Western calendar.

Film lesson / Gandhi

Gandhi helps his nation of India in many different ways.
he was determine to free his country from the British.
he uses nonviolence against the British.
he led a salt march thorough the Indian sea to protest the British Gov.

The British gov saw him as a threat

though through out his marches many where hurt and killed by the British
he was still determine to use nonviolence
but when some of the Indians where being beat the people fought back and this made Gandhi up set so he went on a fast he didn't eat until he was sure that violence stopped all threw out the Indian country
